Happy Santa Lucia!
The morning of Dec 13th in all of Sweden the Queen of Light - the Santa Lucia - comes to her beloved ones with live candles singing the Santa Lucia carols. This is a Holiday loved by all children and is a must in every household to celebrate by dressing like the Lucia. There is a national Lucia chosen for the year and she parades the streets of Stockholm dressed in a big white fur coat on a white float with music playing along her voyage. This is the fairest Maiden in the land for that year and young beautiful girls compete to be that Lucia. Beauty combined with good heart and good deeds wins this one!!
